The National University of Costa Rica (UNA) has initiated an interesting initiative: The Earth Charter Student Award.
This idea came from UNA’s Earth Charter Network, the aim is to recognize students who are putting the principles of the Earth Charter into action, in their lives. Members of UNA EC Network defined the criteria and organized the granting of this award. The selection of the students was done by the Vice Deans of each School.
Thirteen students coming from UNA’s campuses around the country were chosen to receive EC Student Award 2010 during a special ceremony held on Earth Day, on 22 April.
