ECI Council Member Sahnoun received an award

The award recognizes significant achievements in the field of environmental law and diplomacy and was presented by Stephen Freidman, the President of Pace University, Ambassador Bhagwat-Singh, representing the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization, and Wolfgang E. Burhenne for ICEL.  Nick Robinson made closing remarks.  Among the many outstanding achievements for which Ambassador Sahnoun was honored was his leadership role in the drafting and promotion of the Earth Charter.  Following the presentation of the Award, Ambassador Sahnoun gave a splendid address.  More details here
