On 26 February, ECI offered an introductory webinar about the Earth Charter and the International Youth Network, with the goal of engaging and inspiring more youth groups and volunteers around the world to be part of this network and start making the Earth Charter principles a reality in their schools and communities.
The webinar had various participants such as Escuela Verde, a school in Milwaukee, USA that uses sustainability topics throughout all of its learning modules. 70 students plus all the school’s staff participated actively in the webinar, and now the school is interested in engaging its students with the Earth Charter, especially senior students that can develop sustainability projects as part of their graduation requirements.
