The Centre for Environment Education of India (CEE) under its programme called Paryavaran Mitra, organized a photo competition based on the 16 principles of the Earth Charter. The contest was open to anyone interested worldwide. After careful examination of all the submissions, the judges chose five winning photos, and recognized twelve more with high scores.
Paryavaran Mitra is a nationwide education programme in 2 lakh schools across India, implemented by CEE in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and ArcelorMittal. It promotes transformative education in schools, with curricular and co-curricular activities and projects, with the aim of having students become change agents for sustainability.
