Rufai Balogun

Rufai is a geospatial analyst on a mission to expand the frontier of earth observation for sustainable development in Africa using cutting edge technologies. His myriad interests in sustainable development are mirrored in his experience as a member, World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council, and the International RYSE Youth Council. He was also a two-time delegate of the Care About Climate Online Youth Exchange Program, where he later mentored 10 young leaders to implement their projects in their respective countries. At the moment, he is utilizing his skills in geospatial technologies to contribute to research at the Center for Space Research and Applications, Akure, Nigeria. As an Earth Charter Young Leader, Rufai has reached 120 students with workshops and training on Eco-literacy, Lifestyle Changes, Design Thinking and Sustainability Leadership among student communities.
