More than 100 students of the Industrial Engineering, Computer Systems and Environmental Engineering careers, among others, were present at the first Earth Charter Workshop that took place on August 22nd and 23rd, 2012 at the Tecnologico Superior de los Rios Institute, City of Balancan, Tabasco, Mexico . An EC student working group was formed to help this university continue being a quality institution concerned with the environment.
This workshop also marks the beginning of the environmental promoters training at this institution. The hope is that they will continue to disseminate Earth Charter values and principles in compliance to its objectives. The students participated in a series of workshop activities that applied the values to guide them to be better human beings, live healthy lives, and hopefully establish a balance with themselves.
