EC-snet is the short name of the Earth Charter Schools Network for ESD website, created by the Earth Charter Secretariat. The main purpose of this website is to provide a space for sharing and collaboration between students and educators interested in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) processes and the Earth Charter.
It was created in response to many petitions from people who are using the Earth Charter as an educational tool and are interested in having opportunities to be in contact with other students and educators around the world. Some of the advantages to have this interaction is to learn what is working (or not working) in other regions to promote cultural changes towards sustainability, and discuss relevant issues for schools.
