Three members from Bangladeshi Earth Charter Youth Group Climate Natural attended the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and COY-5 Conference of Youth.
The Government of Denmark hosted the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) that took place in Bella Center, Copenhagen from the 7th to the 18th of December, 2009. This conference is one the largest international political conference ever held in Denmark with participants from 192 countries representing governments, the business community, and civil society. Bella center has capacity to host approximately 15,000 participants.
During the conference the Earth Charter Youth Group Climate Natural delegates met with other Earth Charter Youth Group leaders and members and shared experiences of their respective countries. Among other things the delegates actively participated in UNFCCC youth group YOUNGO campaigns and meetings, visited different industries as part of COP 15 energy tours and joined COP 15 sessions related to Bangladesh.
This event gave the members of Earth Charter Youth Group Climate Natural an opportunity to raise voice on international climate negotiation process, build networks and learn on climate change.
