Earth Charter Dialogues, Lyon, France – Synthesis Report 2002

The first Earth Dialogues Forum was held in Lyon, France from 21-23 February 2002. The event was organized by Green Cross International and the Earth Council. At this occasion representatives of civil society, government, international organizations, finance, business, religion, media and academia convened to exchange their views on how to reinvigorate the ethics debate within the sustainable development and globalization agendas. The Earth Dialogues addressed, from an ethical perspective, the key questions that will be raised at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg and beyond.
