COVID-19 has turned our world upside down. It has exposed our inability to ensure respect and care for the community of life. It has exposed our threats to ecological integrity. It has made visible our failure to ensure social and economic justice. It is testing democracy, non-violence, and peace. It has exposed our failure to leverage the outcomes of our systems to make them sustainable and resilient.
Systems thinking provides us with the ability to leverage the outcomes in our systems and to make them sustainable and resilient. It provides us with the ability to build respect and care for the community of life. It provides us with the ability to protect ecological integrity, ensure social and economic justice, and strengthen democracy, non-violence, and peace. It is our means to turn our conscience to action.
As we look ahead into a post-COVID-19 world, Earth Charter International is putting together a powerful panel to address our most important skill to a post-COVID world. We ask our panelists how Systems Thinking and Systems Leadership will build sustainable and resilient systems and help us to survive and thrive.
