The Institute for Sustainable Development and Learning of Leuphana University of Lüneburg (Germany) and UNESCO Chair in Higher Education for Sustainable Development (HESD) have been organizing a series of conversations on building forward better through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and to highlight the role of Global South-North partnership to achieve Agenda 2030. This dialogue series called “In Conversation with” raises pertinent questions on how ESD can respond to build forward better, how can learners especially from the COVID 19 generation participate in this transformation and what needs to change so that humanity learns its lesson from this global unprecedented catastrophe.
Mirian Vilela, Earth Charter International Executive Director, was invited to participate in one episode of this series of conversations. This conversation took place on Earth Day (22 April), under the theme: “How can we build collective conscience and action to rise better, resilient and sustainable from COVID-19? Re-generative ESD to make peace with nature.”
Around 45 people attended this seminar. The recording can be found on this page: https://www.leuphana.de/en/research-centers/isdl/dialogue-series-in-conversation-with/in-conversation-with-mirian-vilela.html
