On November 25, 2022, we launched in an open seminar organized jointly with the UNESCO San Jose Office, a new publication called “Guide of recommendations for the curricular strengthening of education for sustainable development through the whole school approach.”
This guide is published by UNESCO San Jose Office, and authored by Alicia Jimenez-Elizondo, Earth Charter Center for Education for Sustainable Development at the University for Peace, and Geannina Herrera Blando, consultant. The target audience are primary and secondary teachers, administrative staff, principals, curriculum developers, advisors, trainers of trainers, policy makers at national and departmental levels, and technicians of the Ministries of Education, especially of the Central American region.
The objective of the Guide is to be a tool to enhance knowledge and provide recommendations to implement a whole institution approach for sustainability in the education center. It is undoubtedly a valuable resource for teachers and schools, we are very proud to participate in this process.
This is an open access document, available only in Spanish for the moment. You can download it here.
