We are happy to announce that The Earth Stories Collection (Vol. 3): And the ‘Gods’ Came Down to the Earth is now available for all educators and storytellers who are working to shift in our collective worldview. This book and the whole collection are available resources for educators and storytellers who are working to shift in our collective worldview.
The Earth Stories Collection is a repository of myths, legends, fables and folktales from all cultures of the planet capable of conveying a systemic worldview and illustrating the ethical principles and values of the Earth Charter. It is a cultural seed bank, an educational resource base for building (or rebuilding) a deeply sustainable global society based on social and economic justice and the values of peace and democracy. The Earth Stories Collection is an initiative launched by The Avalon Project – Initiative for a Culture of Peace, in collaboration with the Earth Charter International Secretariat and the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
In the previous volumes of this Collection research and experiences using the Earth Stories were offered along with a total of 111 traditional stories from all over the planet. Now, in this fourth book – Volume 3 – you will find 39 more stories and new proposals and educational experiences which can serve as examples for the implementation of the traditional stories that are part of this collection.
Congratulations to Grian A. Cutanda, Marta Ventura as well as Irma Verhoeven, Alena Karpava, Victor Ayegba Mathew and Iana Timchenko, your effort in putting this valuable work together is highly commendable.
