During the second semester of 2010, two new Earth Charter websites were launched: in Greek and Polish.
The website in Greek was developed by the first EC Affiliate in Greece: the UNESCO Chair ICT in Education for Sustainable Development, University of Crete. They have been working closely with the Earth Charter International in promoting the Earth Charter in the area of education. The goal of the national Earth Charter website is to introduce the Earth Charter and the educational materials developed by the EC Center for Education for Sustainable Development, to Greek educators and students as well as a wider audience.

In addition, they have been generating awareness in Greece about the Earth Charter with presentations at the 7th Hellenic Conference on ‘Hellenic Pedagogical and Educational Research’ Panepistimioupoli Gallou, Rethymnon that took place on 19-21 of November 2010 in Crete. The introduction of the Earth Charter and its principles was made by Dr. Nelly Kostoulas in her presentation, “The Earth Charter as an Educational Tool for the Integration of Sustainability in Education.”
The website in Polish was created by Wiktor Zaremba, a young professional from Poland who is a PhD student at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. The site contains all the basic materials to learn about the Earth Charter.
