Yázigi Internexus was founded in 1950 and was the first language school franchising in Brazil. Yázigi chose the Earth Charter as the basis for the 2010 Sustainability Campaign, Terra Viva, which has been led by 400 schools and 170,000 students all over the country.
This campaign is supported by Earth Charter International, UMAPAZ – Free University for the Environment and a Culture of Peace and WWF-Brazil.
Some of the actions designed for the campaign are: pedagogical activities in English and Spanish; drawing/painting and photography contests for students and others; pedagogical contest for teachers; and the sustainable business contest for the schools administrative area.
