We are happy to welcome Earth Charter International’s new Communication and Marketing Manager Javiera Gutiérrez. Javiera strengthens the ECI team as she is using contemporary communication strategies to enhance the reach of the Earth Charter and draw attention to our Center for Education for Sustainable Development with the Earth Charter under the framework of the UNESCO Chair.
Javiera has more than 10 years of experience in journalism, communications and digital marketing. In the last few years she has specialized in communications about Sustainable Development. She worked at La Nación newspaper and was later the Managing Editor at La República newspaper. Javiera also worked as the Communications Officer at The Costa Rica USA Foundation for Cooperation (CRUSA). She has a Journalism and Social Information Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in Santiago, Chile. Javiera is Chilean, Bolivian and Costa Rican.
“I am very excited to have joined the Earth Charter International team. This is a very important time for the world to embrace our movement and to get to know and put the EC in action and I am thrilled to put all my effort and knowledge to raise awareness about this. I am truly looking forward to it,” says Javiera.
