The first Earth Charter Youth e-Conference brought together nearly 80 participants on April 14th, 2011. The conference was voluntarily organized by the Earth Charter Youth using Heart in Action Enterprises’ virtual multimedia platform.
The three hour conference was filled with inspiring and educative presentations. Participants were able to leave their comments and questions, as well as network through the chat box that was open throughout the conference. Many connections were made and new ideas were exchanged during the discussions.
Enthusiastic participants represented more than 30 countries from all over the world:
Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Spain, Syria, Ukraine, USA, and Vietnam. At the end of the session the participants demonstrated a strong desire and need for regular online meetings of the Earth Charter Youth.
A follow-up discussion, Earth Charter Youth Meeting, will take place here on Tuesday, May 10th at 3 pm GMT.
