Earth Charter as part of River to River dominical walk

A special issue of the now usual River to River dominical walk took place on August 3rd within the frame of the Federal Government’s National Fair on Physical Activity promoted by the Municipality of the Center in Tabasco, Mexico. As part of this day’s activities and following up on the support to the Earth Charter Initiative on behalf of the Municipality and its Mayor Evaristo Hernández, architect and artist Lorena Priego stimulated the creation of a huge art piece where children and adults of different ages expressed their wishes for a better world based on the sustainability principles of the Earth Charter.

Following their commitment to the Earth Charter the Mayor continues promoting reforestation in the area and with this in mind planted on this date 50 trees in the main avenue of Villahermosa, Tabasco.
