We want to express our sincere gratitude the members of the Earth Charter movement who actively used the Mapting app, for your continuous support and contributions to this project. We launched Mapting in 2016 as an initiative to promote awareness and action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and linking them with the Earth Charter Principles through picture & video sharing. It has been an incredible journey with you.
We have an important announcement to make. After careful consideration, we have decided to close the Mapting app on 14 April 2024. While this may come as a surprise, we assure you that it was not an easy decision.
Moving forward, we invite you to join our future new initiative based around actions to implement the SDGs captured through photos and a hashtag campaign. This will be a great way to stay connected and continue the conversations we’ve enjoyed on the app. We will share more on this soon.
