University of Guanajuato launches book on the Earth Charter

In October 2009, when this project started, the University of Guanajuato, through its Institutional Program of Environment (now Department of the Environment and Sustainability) and the Institute of Ecology of the State of Guanajuato, announced the photo contest “Earth Charter: Images for Life”. The competition aimed to increase awareness, reflection, and creativity in Guanajuato based on the principles and values ??????of the Earth Charter, and capture them in images that invite others to deepen their knowledge. There were about 70 photographs by 36 participants. This publication launched in the second semester of this year, presents the most outstanding of the contest.

“The photographs presented in the book are a sample of hope, of feelings, of droplets of love, of imagination, of humility, of simplicity, of a present that we don’t always accept, of the future we want, of respect and care for the community of life, of illusions, of equality, of unity, of unforgettable postcards, of ecological integrity, of many voices and opinions, of opportunity, of subtle and beautiful thoughts, of coexistence between brothers, of the deafening silence of attainable dreams, of glances captive, of lost values??????, of values ??????that remain, of reflection, and of surprises…”

You can find this book in the Earth Charter Virtual Library.
