Itxaso is a graduate in Environmental Sciences from the Public University of the Basque Country UPV-EHU with a postgraduate degree in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Due to her great interest in environmental and social issues, she has taken numerous courses, among which are the Places of Memory and Human Rights of the European Inter-University Center for Human Rights and Democratization as well as the Climate Change course: Science, Communication and Action at the Civic Ecology Lab of Cornell University. She currently works at the Gernika Gogoratuz Peace Research Center, where she is the coordinator of the “Territories in Conflict” project.
