The event took place at the Balneario Eco turístico Manantiales (an eco-touristic river side venue called Manantiales) of Zacualpan in the city of Comala, Colima on April 22 at 10am.
Representatives from SEMARNAT attended the event as well as people from the Comisión de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (Natural Protected Areas Commission), the Director of the Centro de Gestión Ambiental de la Universidad de Colima (Environmental Center of the University of Colima) as well as the Mayor, among others.
It is important to mention that the Earth Charter was endorsed by the main educational institutions in Colima and it is being used as an educational tool.
