The International Gathering “Earth Charter and Education” will take place at the Faculty of Education of the Cartuja campus of the University of Granada on April 1 and 2, 2011. This gathering is intended for students, professors and other professionals in education, whether formal or non-formal, who are interested in putting into practice the Earth Charter.
The objectives of the meeting are as follows:
- Know how to use the Earth Charter in educational programs, innovation projects, different experiences, and publications for different educational levels. Carry out workshops with the Earth Charter values.
- Meet and exchange opinions and experiences, and promote joint projects and other actions that will allow the creation of an open and flexible network of people working internally in a collaborative manner.
- Create a virtual space through the Internet, as an external expression of such a network, to post reports on experiences, projects, practices, publications, courses, news, exchanges, trips, etc. that will give us the opportunity to work as a large group with a single vision: the Earth Charter values.
- Get sensitized to the vision of Mother Earth and spirituality from indigenous peoples.
