Earth Charter Translation in Dutch by Marc Siepman

“My name is Marc Siepman. I am just myself and I do what gives me energy. I am committed to a planet on which we feel interdependent again. Where everything and everyone has free access to healthy food, clean water, clean air, and shelter. I write, translate, and currently give lectures, courses and workshops on soil, systems thinking, permaculture, and economics”.

When Marc discovered the Earth Charter, he embraced the content. At the same time, he thought the original Dutch translation uses too many difficult words. So, being a translator himself, he decided to write a translation without complicated terms to make it more approachable.

We (the ones that can read and understand Dutch) really like his version. What do you think?
