The exhibit “Homage to Earth” at the National Gallery in Costa Rica, was inaugurated on June 16th, 2016. For this display, curators and artists used the Earth Charter as inspiration for their works.
The exhibition features the works of 40 artists, including painters, sculptors, and plastic artists of different techniques.
Around 300 people participated in the opening. The Executive Director of Earth Charter International, Mirian Vilela, gave a speech during the ceremony, along with the Rector of the National University of Costa Rica, Mr. Alberto Salom, Mrs. Ana Ligia Guillén Ulate, Vice Chancellor of student life of the National Technical University, and the Director of the Foundation Ayúdanos para Ayudar, Mrs. Gloria Bejarano.
