ECI Secretariat is participating in a two-year research project called ESDinds (Development of Indicators & Assessment Tools for CSO Projects Promoting Values???based Education for Sustainable Development). Its implementation started in 2009.
This project is supported by the European Commission Seventh Programme, and implemented by a consortium of organizations and research institutions. The coordinator of this Consortium is the University of Brighton, UK. Other participating institutions are: Charles University (Czech Republic), Alliance on Religions and Conservation (International), European Baha’i Business Forum (International), People’s Theater (Germany) and Red Cross International.
Its main objective is to develop indicators to measure values components of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) projects.
Our intention as ECI Secretariat is to evaluate the impact of experiences using the Earth Charter in educational settings.
During 2009-2010, the Civil Society Organizations and Universities have been working together to develop the project’s indicators framework.
Starting in July 2010, 50 to 80 organizations will be invited to participate in this project by testing the indicators that have been produced. Therefore, if you are interested, please write to: [email protected] or [email protected]
