Photo Competition on the Earth Charter


Paryavaran Mitra programme organized a Photo Competition, where the Earth Charter is the main theme!

Participants of this photo competition could focus on one of the many topics contained in the Earth Charter, all related to build a more sustainable, just and peaceful world.   In the competition’s website many topics were proposed,  as well as prizes and rules for participation.   The deadline for submission was on 18 July 2011.  

Paryavaran Mitra is a nationwide education programme in 2 lakh schools across India by the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and ArcelorMittal. It  promotes transformative education in schools, with curricular and co-curricular activities and projects, with the aim to have student become change agents for sustainability.. 

The Paryavaran Mitra programme synergizes several national level initiatives like the National Green Corps (NGC), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA), National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC), and builds on partnerships at the national and international level
