The Society of Professional Tour Guides of Puerto Rico endorsed the Earth Charter in March 2017.
This association, founded in 2006, is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to promote the fellowship and education of tour guides and hikers.
The Society groups guides of various specialties, which creates a mosaic where architecture, archeology, biology, history, caving, ornithology (birds), entomology (insects), botany among many others.
According to Elegna Rodríguez, Secretary of this Society, “we, as tour guides of Puerto Rico, contribute our daily bread to this great movement to care for, respect, preserve and raise awareness about the importance of our land especially our small and majestic archipelago “.
