The journal CRUCE, produced by the Ana G. Méndez University School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Communications, Puerto Rico, published a special edition to celebrate the 20th anniversary since the launch of the Earth Charter.
We thank Dr. Alexandra Pagán Vélez, Director of CRUCE, and the special editor for this edition, María Vilches Norat, for making this publication possible. María Vilches Norat, professor at the Ana G. Méndez University, is also a facilitator of the Online Certificate on Education for Sustainable Development (in Spanish) offered by the Earth Charter Education Center at the University for Peace, Costa Rica.
The edition has 10 articles, written by people from different Latin American countries and Spain. Through different perspectives, the authors present the Earth Charter as a fundamental educational tool for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, especially SDG 4, which refers to quality education.
