The Municipality of Aguascalientes, Mexico, has been renewing its commitment and endorsement with the Earth Charter over the past few years, but it hasn’t stopped there. There have been important efforts inside the Municipality to understand and internalize the Earth Charter principles to put them into practice with concrete actions.
In this video (in Spanish), the Mayor Lorena Martínez (2011-2013) explains in detail how they’ve been using the Earth Charter as an ethical framework to generate public policies to promote sustainability.
This presentation was offered during the Earth Charter Mexican Focal Points Meeting, in November 2013.
