Thanks to the effort of Ali Tehraninasr, an Earth Charter Volunteer from Iran, the Earth Charter is now available in Persian (Farsi).
Ali enrolled in the Earth Charter volunteer network early this year, and said the following about his motivation to do this translation: “Once I read the charter, I realized that translating it into my own mother tongue could be part of my world citizenship responsibility”.
Find the Earth Charter version in Persian (Farsi) here.
And here you can find other translations done by many volunteers who are helping to advance the mission of the Earth Charter Initiative: “…to promote the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace.”
