In summer last year German Earth Charter affiliate “Ecumenical One World Initiative” published their “Erd-Charta Praxishandbuch” (Earth Charter Practice Handbook), which is an innovative and comprehensive manual on how to put the Earth Charter into practice through non-formal educational methods. Describing in great detail dozens of different modules, which allow the creation of workshops and entire project days, the handbook is a very suitable tool for students of all ages. Recently, this publication was translated from the original German language to English and is now available as a PDF from the Earth Charter Web site.
In addition, the Earth Charter International Secretariat has produced a more detailed case study on the handbook and its development. The study illuminates the development of the handbook and its methodology, and also manages to share some success stories of the Earth Charter’s German affiliate.
