Polity Chheang

My name is Polity Chheang, and I am a science student majoring in Astrophysics and Spectroscopy at Okayama University, Japan. Born and raised in Cambodia, I have always been passionate about making a positive impact on the world. In addition to my studies, I enjoy volunteering in my community such as raising money for orphanages, and participating in various events/activities that promote environmental sustainability at school. Recently, I had the opportunity to intern with the Climate Reality Project Japan, where I make content to raise awareness on climate change, co-organize climate workshops and co-host events focused on climate actions. When I’m not busy with schoolwork or volunteering, I like to learn new languages (currently on my list are Korean, French and Arabic), listen to pop music, watch anime, and read manga. My ultimate goal is to contribute to creating a joyous present and a bright future for all people around the globe.
