This September Earth Charter features high on Dutch agenda

September is always an important month in the Netherlands, since on the third Tuesday of the month the Dutch Queen sets out the main features of government policy for the coming parliamentary session in the “Speech from the Throne”. This September however, there were many more occasions to look towards the future, to stand still, and to reflect. The Earth Charter played a prominent role in all these events.

A municipal educational program in Brazil is using the Earth Charter

Fruit of Earth, an environmental education program (Programa de Educação Ambiental Fruto da Terra) became, since 2003, part of the municipal public network in Atibaia, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Earth Charter has been an important instrument for the environmental education efforts of schools in this city.
